At Lindleywood we believe in creating unique products which stand out from the ordinary.

All our products are carefully handmade by us here in our Lincolnshire workshop. Our materials are all carefully sourced and we make a huge effort to support other British businesses when we choose our supplies, We have been handcrafting our painted wooden boxes since 2008 from high-grade sustainable European redwood pine (known as Scot's Pine) supplied by a small woodmerchant local to us.

Our eco-friendly paints are made by Little Greene, a small independent British manufacturer from the northwest of England (who have been creating paints since 1773 right here in Britain), enabling us to create beautiful products especially for you. These paints comply with European Standard BS EN 71-3:1995 (better known as the 'Toy Paint Regulations') so are safe for children. But they are also safe for birds and wildlife too. Every item is individually handpainted with these non-toxic water-based wood paints and this paint is suitable for interior and exterior use, making it very durable.

Important Note regarding colours: The colours shown on our paint charts are the colours we have available as standard. Please note that although we have tried to accurately portray these colours, Internet browsers and screens may cause colours to appear slightly differently.

Please be aware that each item is individually hand-crafted and hand-painted to order by us so one item will differ slightly from another and may not appear exactly as in the photographs of other products. This means that each product is entirely unique and extremely individual! Also note that as we make each item from wood there may some variation in grain. Over time there may also be movement in joints and surfaces. This is down to the nature of ‘real wood' as opposed to synthetic materials and we feel further adds to the individuality of each product.
